New layer
Add new layers if needed. Choose your perferred pattern for the layer and click “Select pattern”. Your new layer will be placed on top of the stack to the left on your screen.

A lot of projects requires a shim paper. By clicking this button, a shim paper will automatically be added over the top layer. Move it by clicking the thrre dots and drag You can easily drag and drop the shim paper layer to where you want it. Read more about shim paper here.
