How to include your hardware solution in MyRobot.cloud

Development needs

In our digital twin and simulation engine we use the real 3D files for components. By doing this we make sure that our digital twin is accurate.

For palletizing we divide the components used in a solution into the following categories:

  • Frames / bases

  • Grippers

  • Lifting columns

  • Conveyors

  • Pallets

In order to include your solution or component in MRC and enable to run simulations on it, you only need to follow some simple steps before sending it to us.

Components

  1. Remove all unnecessary parts of your 3D model. This is because the simulation is presented as a web page, and every MB the file is reduced, the less time it takes for the end user to load the simulations. Additionally, 3rd parties will be able to zoom in and see every detail of the 3D model. Make sure there are no design secrets hidden “under the hood”. This includes:

    1. All interior that cannot be seen from the outside. In general, keep what “looks good”, but remove details like screws and bolts which are only there for assembly.

    2. Try to reduce the size of the file to a minimum. We decrease the size to a later stage to fit our requirements.

    3. Ship the 3D models in one of the following formats DAE or STP

Solutions

    2. If your 3D model includes multiple components, divide this into separate 3D models per component. I.e. a 3D model with a frame, robot, pallets and conveyor should be separated into four different 3D models.

    3. Try to reduce the size of the file to a minimum. We decrease the size to a later stage to fit our requirements.

    4. Ship the 3D models in one of the following formats DAE or STP

Models that are shipped in the STL format does not include coloring or textures. Without coloring or textures, the model will be grey.
