Replacing a license

When replacing a license it’s recommended to remove all old license files first.
After removing the old license file(s), the new one can be uploaded as described above.
Steps to remove old license file(s):

  1. Attach a keyboard to the teach pendant.

  2. Press “Ctrl + Alt + F1”.

  3. Enter “login, user: root, password: easybot”.

  4. Enter "cd /home/ur/.no.rocketfarm.urcap.palletmanager".

  5. Enter “ls -a”.
This prints a list of all files in the folder.
The license file(s) name(s) all end with “.license”.

  6. Enter “rm [name of license file]”.
A tip here is to start type in the license name and press the TAB-key for auto completion.
Do this for all license files listed in step 5.

  7. Press “Ctrl + Alt + F7”

Having issues loading the license from USB?

If you are experiencing that the loading fails, we recommend to try the following:

  1. Follow the steps under “Replacing a license” to make absolutely sure that there are no old licenses installed on the robot.

  2. Use an empty USB-stick and place the license file, and the license file only, in the root folder.
