When pressing “Load license from USB“ and there is a valid license on the USB-stick, the page will change to this (Figure 2):

How to utilize Pally demo license for testing and comissioning, before uploading the license for the end user

When a Pally license is generated the active plan period starts. This means that if the period for testing and comissioning is long, it can make sense to use a demo license first.

A demo license has no active plan, but is a license with all features available. As our partner, you can send us the license request file to license@rocketfarm.no together with the order number, and we will provide you with a demo license that is valid for 3 months. (we can always prolong it if needed)

After the testing and comissioning is completed, you contact us at license@rocketfarm.no and we will issue the Pally license with the active plan that you upload as usual. You only need to deactivate the demo license first before uploading the new license.

Having issues loading the license from USB?

If you are experiencing that the loading fails, we recommend to try the following:

  1. Restart Polyscope and check if the license works after reboot.

  2. Use an empty USB-stick and place the license file, and the license file only, in the root folder.

  3. Follow the steps under “Removing a license” to make absolutely sure that there are no old licenses installed on the robot.

Removing a license

  1. Attach a keyboard to the teach pendant

  1. Enter "ctrl + alt + F1"

  1. Enter "login, user: root, passord: easybot"

  1. Enter "cd /home/ur/.no.rocketfarm.urcap.palletmanager"

  1. Enter "ls -a"

  1. Enter "rm [name of license file]" (A tip here is to start type in the license name and press the TAB-key)

  1. Enter "ctrl + alt + F7"

NOTE: From Pally URCap version 2.10 and higher, a new license format has been introduced. If you have a valid Service Package, please request a new license from us (free of charge).

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
