Robots backup/Running simulations on a backup
MyRobot.cloud also has a built-in function to store backups of your customer's robot after you’re done installing the robot and configuring Pally.
Pally 3.0 or newer:
Go to the installation tab in Pally, and under backup, press the backup ACTIVE configuration button. This will create a zip file ready to upload to MRC.
This backup of the active configuration will contain the program and the installation file. It will not contain verified staus and offline waypoints for the patterns.
Pally 2.12 or older:
Do a backup of the Pally installation and extract the follwing files
.urp
.installation
license_request
These files you compile to a new zip file that you can upload to MRC.
In MRC, press upload backup file and select the Zip file from your USB stick.
Then you need to complete some steps where you choose HW:
step 1 - frame (the backup does not include a frame since this is not information that you include in the Pally setup, so you need to go through the available frames and pick the one you are using for this installation)
step 2 - 5; choose the option “selected from uploaded file” since all the following information is included in the backup that you use as foundation for the Robot configuration.
This will create a complete robotconfiguration, as well as a HW configuration and a SW configuration that mirrors your actual installation.
You can now use this to troubleshoot and test out new products for the end user, allowing them to know the Case per minute, speed and if it's possible to palletise their next product without any downtime at the factory.
